History of Bahawalpur

A visit to bahawalpur would be of no work if you had not visited the Noor Mahal of Bahawalpur. Noor Mahal proves surprising wonder of architecture of Bahawalpur. Now adays the palace is under the protection of Pak Army and the Palace is free to access but some place in the palaces are prohibited to visit and you cannot get in there are as their are precious things and belongings of Nawab. The Palace was made by Nawab Adnan IV, he made it because of his wife, however, unluckily she just lived there for one night and died the other day.
Later on it was opened for public. Mohammad Ali Jinnah stayed there when he went to visit Nawab of Princely State. He played Billiards, his favourite game with the Nawab. You can visit that place where they played the game. The place is so interesting that it cannot be defined in words. Noor Mahal is the gem of the Bahawalpur city. The materials to build palace and the furniture was imported mostly from England and Italy. The Palace is well designed and it is a masterpiece made by the experts.

When you enter the Darbar Mahal you would see the photos of the Nawab of princely states. It is a beautiful tourist place and I would recommend you to visit this place with your family and friends. You can see the Great art and traditional architecture of old days. Just some places of the Mahal are opened for public although it is irritating but still it is the most visited place in bahawalpur.
As the Mahal is now under the army and is the headquarter of the army so it is very difficult to get permit. I would recommend to visit this place as structure of the Darbar Mahal is wonderful and I ensure you that even if you did not get the permit to enter, still you are going to enjoy their a lot.
