Volgograd is the city in the southwest of Russia, which is bordering the western bank of Volga River. This City was formerly called Stalingrad. The Motherland Calls is a statue, which honor the militants of the Soviet Union who participated in the battle of Stalingrad and were killed in the war. This is the center of the monument ensemble. This glorious statue is located at the Mamayev Hill, Volgograd, Russia. This this sculpture was designed by Yevgeny Vuchetich the structural engineer which built the strong and glorious with different type of substance is Nikolai Nikitin. The construction of this statue was ended on October 15 and it was open on October 1967.
